This very unique and special train recreates the excitement and anticipation of Christmas Eve. A reader dressed in a nightshirt and cap will welcome you aboard your railcar and then read Clement C. Moore’s classic poem, The Night Before Christmas, as the train rolls along. After the reading of the poem, passengers can enjoy a treat of milk and cookies before returning to the train station. In the spirit of the season, children and their families are encouraged to come dressed in pajamas.
Parents, please note: While Santa Claus does make a brief appearance aboard this train in keeping with the classic story, this experience captures the wonder and anticipation of Christmas but does NOT feature Santa. If you’re looking for a train ride during which Santa visits with each family and pauses for a photo, please consider ourSanta’s Paradise Express.
Following the train ride, children are also treated to storybook readings of holiday classics in our North Pole alcove near the Railroad Store. Additionally, visitors of all ages can enjoy a ride aboard the Candy Cane Trolley, a self-propelled motor car.
