If you and your partner are looking for a classic date night on a train, we cannot recommend our dining cars enough. With many different options available for food and themes, our dining cars are more than prepared to cater to your ideal romantic night.
Enjoy an elevated dining experience aboard one of Strasburg Rail Road’s most historic train cars, the Lee E. Brenner Car, as you and your date take a 45-minute train ride through the beautiful Amish countryside.
Along with a special menu prepared by our very own Café 1832 team, you’ll be served by a first-class attendant and permitted one non-alcoholic beverage per person (with additional alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available for purchase).

2. Wine And Cheese Train
More in the mood for a tasting train ride? Our wine and cheese train ride is the perfect way to spend a weekend outing with your partner!
On this 45-minute train ride going to Paradise, PA and back, you’ll enjoy all the classic fixings: wine, cheese, and crackers. Even if you are new to wine tastings, no worries; check out our Wine and Cheese Train Guide to prepare for your visit with us.
You’ll find that Strasburg Rail Ride prides itself on picking the best wines from Waltz Vineyards, and offers other alcoholic beverages (and souvenir glasses) for purchase.
Please note that all passengers 21 and older must show a valid form of ID before boarding. All alcohol will only be served during the train ride, and must be consumed before exiting the train in accordance with Pennsylvania state law.

Looking for a more sophisticated and fine-dining setting for your date night? Take a ride on one of our Elegant Express cars or one of the most memorable dinner train rides you’ll have.
Enjoy fancy dishes such as beef wellington or lobster ravioli while taking a 45-minute ride through the Amish Country. You’ll be riding in one of our First-Class Cars, the Lee E. Brenner Dining Car or the Henry K. Long Car.
The dress code is smart casual, business, or semi-formal. All passengers must be 21 and older with a valid ID to ride, and must abide by Strasburg Rail Road’s policy on alcohol. The train only runs on select weekends throughout the year, so availability is limited.

Like our Wine and Cheese Train, you’ll find yourself on a 45-minute ride through Amish Country while tasting specialty whiskeys and cocktails provided by Stoll & Wolfe’s best collections. All with a menu catered to pair with the drinks of the night by Café 1832.
Please plan to arrive and report for boarding 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure. Valid IDs will be checked when boarding, and all participants must abide by Pennsylvania state laws regarding alcohol.

6. The Show Must Go On: A Murder Mystery Live Performance
In the mood for a fusion of railroad romance and fun entertainment? Then consider attending our murder mystery live performance, The Show Must Go On.
A murder has taken place on this 45-minute ride, featuring a plethora of stunning (but suspicious) guests and one reluctant detective, Cecil B. Holden. Watch as he attempts to solve the mystery of this sudden death, and get all the train’s passengers to their destination on time.
There will be much to enjoy with this ride, ranging from the costumed professional cast who have all performed around the world to the first class accommodations guests will have access to. All passengers will be treated to one alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink as well.
Please be aware of the show’s disclaimer, as the performance uses realistic firearms and contains choreographed fight scenes. Proper IDs will be checked for all guests over the age of 21 purchasing alcohol.
